Project: Landscaping – Hardscaping & Pavers

They completed several jobs for me. Re-pointed the front stairs, they did more than this pulling off and resetting many of the bricks and the blues stones stairs. Done in one day. Extended a patio to create an area where rain water could be collected and then sent to a new drain they installed. While they did this they fixed issues in the older patio. The re-laid blue stones on another patio and then used a colored polymeric sand to make the patio water tight and pitched towards a drain to catch runoff water. This winter when the snow melts the yard is much drier than in years past.

They filled a dryer vent hole in my brick wall, replaced broken bricks in my walkways and replaced the stone caps along those walkways. Very professional, did a great job, cleaned up fairly well and overall I’m very happy. They responded very quickly from coupon purchase and completed the one-day job in just a couple weeks. I do wish I had asked them to use ‘aged’ looking bricks as the fresh ones really stand out but overall a top notch job.

Project: Repaired a damaged stone retaining wall.

In one word: Ideal. We needed to have this work done for some time now and had been procrastinating. The retaining wall is important since the property of the homeowner on the other side is elevated to the top of the wall. We were concerned that the damage could easily lead to further damage and even cause the other homeowner’s walkway to collapse. I originally contacted Dr. Pavers through email at 10:30 on a Saturday night – and received an email response within 15 minutes. That’s just too good. We exchanged a few emails, one of their guys came to check out the job and gave me a quote. They were set to go once I gave the go-ahead. I had to delay a few days to clear the repair with another neighbor since the wall runs along the back of both our properties and we were sharing the cost of the repair since the damage extended on both our sides. The price was extremely reasonable. My neighbor, I learned afterward, had gotten a quote once before that was significantly higher. The job took two days, the work was clean, the area was cleaned up. Seriously – I couldn’t ask for anything to have gone better.

Doctor’s Pavers removed two bluestone steps, cut and replaced one of the steps, and then re-grouted them and did some cosmetic repair to our front steps. They also did quite a lot of repair to our back brick steps which had become loose overtime – re-mortared them etc. We are so happy with the work that Doctor’s Pavers did. From the first visit to get a sense of the problem and what we were looking through all the way through the final project, they were professional, understood that we were looking for a safe and nice looking repair without going to something very expensive, and responded immediately when we had a concern about the condition of the step. Their response was to take full responsibility for the problem and send out a crew to fix the problem within four days of the initial job two workers and a foreman came and they all were polite and worked very hard in the time they were here for. We were so impressed and both sets of stairs now look great.

Repaired badly damaged brick walkway. Bricks on walk and steps had been displaced and walkway was dipping and cracked. Very professional handling of situation. Explained in detail what was to happen. Used all the original bricks; dug up around and under walkway to level it again. Put new cement in to anchor walk on each side. Placed sand between bricks to prevent the same damage from occurring and also washed the entire walkway, as well as the side walkway. Work performed in a timely manner; place left clean and neat. I would highly recommend Doctor Pavers for masonry work.

This is my second project with Doctor Pavers and this involved a different team of two masons. I am pleased to say that the work was as excellent as the first smaller project. I am very impressed with their level of preparation for each assignment. They come on site with all the materials needed and provide quotes for labor and materials that are quite accurate. These guys are real craftsmen and we couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of the work performed. Paver resetting came out beautifully as did the replacement of 16-18 broken bluestone slabs and the resetting of 30-40 total bluestone slabs. They have a great attitude and really seem to enjoy their work. Each day they leave sufficient time for a thorough worksite cleanup. They have also been flexible in accommodating small additional projects while the existing work was underway.

Project: Remove granite front steps that were coming loose. Remove granite treads, cleaned out old cement that had deteriorated badly. Reset the steps on a bed of fresh cement. Mortared all joints. Chiseled crumbling mortar from perimeter of front landing and paver patio. Re-mortared all joints.

I was contacted by Juliano the day I purchased the Big Deal. I provided an overview of the project and received an appointment within a week. Two workers arrived at the designated date/time and began working right away. Raphael was the foreman and ensure the day’s takes were well organized to make most efficient use of their time. The work was performed efficiently and with great skill followed by a thorough clean up of the work area. The workers arrived with all the necessary materials and tools and clearly and proficiently addressed all questions I raised regarding the project. I would definitely use their services again and am awaiting a quote for resetting some pavers around a pool deck

Project: Repaired 4 front steps and front walk of home. Removed all blue stone from landing, including removing and discarding old cement. Reinstalled same pieces of bluestone with new cement work. Removed all bluestone from lower landing and pathway, added sand/stone dust and compacted it until it was level; replaced any broken bluestone. Total area worked on was 221 square feet.

The team arrived on time, and completed the work efficiently and within one day, despite the intense heat. They were professional and courteous, and did a great job. We would definitely recommend Doctor Pavers for masonry work.

Doctor Pavers came on time and did the work. They certainly know what they were doing with the stone work. They treated it like a crossword puzzle, it was fascinating to watch them. Project: Doctor Pavers reinstalled and re-mortared the front steps of our house.

I’ve examined each stone and I can’t find any misalignments. The steps form a fan shape. Each step retains the proper curvature. The mortar is smooth and level with each stone. Juliano of Doctor Pavers also reinstalled the stones constituting the curb along the driveway, at no extra charge. I would add that Juliano and his crew were cheerful and pleasant to work with.

I got a quote for mason work from a family member recommendation. I knew this mason did wonderful work, but is quote was high. I checked on Angies list, Doctor Pavers, answered by call. They set a convenient appointment for a quote. They were on time and professional. They e-mailed me a professional proposal and a very good price. $1,300. less than the quote I received from another mason. They were on time to start the job, they finished exactly when they said they would, did excellent work. I couldn’t ask for anything better. Of course I highly recommend Doctor Pavers, do not hesitate to hire them, you’ll be very glad you did.
